Wine Cellar Speakers | Custom Crate Stereo Pair

Wine crate speakers with a cellar vibe — and they actually sound good.

This started as a fun experiment: take a solid wine box, brace, seal, and build a real two-way speaker inside.

The project worked better than expected. Not studio-monitor high fidelity — but warm, clear, and much more musical than a novelty speaker has any right to be.

Built with off-the-shelf Dayton Audio parts from Parts Express:

Dayton Audio DC28FS-8 1-1/8" silk dome shielded tweeters
Dayton Audio XO2W-2.5K 2-way crossovers at 2,500 Hz

Perfect if you have a wine cellar, tasting room, bar, or just want speakers that look like they belong next to a bottle of Cabernet instead of a rack of black boxes.
